BIO

Gio Curtiss (he/him) is a queer, Houston-based lighting designer, electrician, and technician. He attended Arizona State University and received his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre (design and production concentration).

He designed for the living’ life of the daughter mira in 2022 and Kill, Move, Paradise in 2023, the latter of which received the 2023 ariZoni Theatre Award of Excellence for best lighting design (play category). In addition to design, has worked as a head electrician in productions such as Healing Wars and The Wolves during his time at ASU.

Most recently, he has been Tour Lighting Supervisor for the Masters of Illusion- Live! tours and works as a freelance and overhire stage electrician in the Houston area.

In his spare time, he enjoys other creative outlets such as cosplay and fiber arts.
